Madly Sweetly SS 23 – Glasshouse

We enter the glasshouse. An oasis of calm; a warm humid atmosphere controlled for nurturing growth. We see foliage and blooms of every colour and variety and we are inspired. We love the analogy of the glasshouse and where we are at – nurturing our growth within a creatively controlled environment.

Fuchsia, passionflower, bird of paradise, orchids, and frangipani appear in our exclusive prints punctuated with the distinctive foliage of variegated bromeliads and taro leaves. Peppered through these florals are flirty ginghams, playful plaids, sophisticated stripes, and subtle herringbones.

Texture is important with gauzy muslins, printed seersuckers, and waffle cottons added alongside our core linen. Our colour palette reflects nature with softer neutral shades of pumice, sage, charcoal, cocoa and navy punctuated with redcurrant, mulberry, coral, sky blue, cobalt, petrol, lilac, jade and fuchsia.

It’s a stellar season for suiting. Jackets and blazers are offered in a variety of fabrications and flattering lengths, paired with flat front tapered pants, or wide legged with optional tie waists. The finishing is sophisticated with elevated top stitch detailing, contrast edging, or accented binding. Detail is key across the whole collection with saddle and crochet like edge stitching, Criss-cross embroidery, clever cutting and playing with stripe directions to create visual interest.

Dresses are fit and flare, shirt, tiered, shift, or fitted with blouson sleeves – something for everyone with lengths from on the knee through to midi. Hardworking linen/cotton knitwear styles in plain and striped options complete the picture and allow for some fun mix and match styling.

Works of nature become works of art, and are translated into works of fashion for our Glasshouse collection.
